Dave Manning is a native of Tewksbury, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1972 and in 1974 was assigned to the European wide theater of operations as a services-logistician with the United States Air Force’s in Europe, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Army and Air Force Exchange Service Europe, and the United States European Command. He retired from the United States Air Force active in October 1997. In 1997 to 1998 he served as chief of operations for AAFES Military Clothing and Combat Gear Distributions supporting SFOR throughout the Balkan region. Today Manning is a Freelance lecturer-Writer on International Relations, Military History, and International Defense Alliances. He authored the “Global Arms” series on the history and sociology of International Military Relations, and Defense Education & Training Programs: Cultivating and Sustaining Professional Defense Alliance Partnerships. He authored in 2020 global arms in defense of Eurasia, a geopolitical look at the balance of power across Eurasia.
